Green Salsa with Avocado


  • 6 chopped serrano chiles, stemmed
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 lb tomatillos, peeled
  • 1 7 oz avocado, peeled and pitted


In a molcajete or blender grind the chiles, cilantro, garlic and salt into a fine paste.Add the tomatillo and avocado and grind until the mixture is coarsely puréed. Season to taste with salt.
